Default B Class Tailgate

Unable to open the tailgate on Mercedes B class
This problem has arisen suddenly
All the other doors function properly with the remote.
There appears no be no keyhole option in the handle.
Any ideas as how to open would be appreciated.
Thank you

Does the door make any click sounds at all ? (apart from the handle itself).

Try pushing on the door in the closing direction and then releasing the lock. Sometimes this happens due to misalignment.

Has your car been repaired for rear-end damage in a collision ?

Default Mercedes B Class

No damage whatsoever!
You can hear all 4 doors clicking but nothing from the boot handle.
I have tried pushing down on it but to no avail.
Regards

I think you need to see if you can get the interior panel on the boot door off with it closed (by climining into the boot (trunk)) - but I have a feeling that is hard with it closed but not tried it below.

Again, this is hard to properly diagnose without being there ...

Thanks Richard
Climbed in the boot and managed to see a red clip through a small aperture which allowed me to open the boot.
Now need to establish problem with the lock
