Hi,
I have an 07 CLS320Cdi which I have recently purchased and I am keen to add the brabus kit as I am not a massive fan of the 7 speed box dropping down a cog every time I sneeze. I want a bit more low down grunt which is what I expected from a Diesel, and I've heard the brabus holds the gear longer and doesn't need to drop down to accelerate. Anyone got this, can you provide any realistic feedback and roughly what is the 0-60 with this kit fitted to a CLS? Thanks |

I would be inclined not to do the Brabus mod and get it re-mapped instead. It will be much cheaper too.
The extra torque the re-mapping gives will improve on the amount of gear changes aswell.

Why not just install a larger motor ?

Hi,
Prestige - do you have any suggestions as to re-mapping and would you recommend any? Benz Mods - I could have bought the CLS55 AMG but on the test drive I averaged 10-15mpg which considering the mileage I do I plumped for the diesel! So I am happy to keep the diesel - just want more torque! Thanks Guys! |

One of our members (BobTheBear) asked me to post this:-
"snurger" was asking about re-mapping a CLS320CDI and I have had this done with remarkable results. If I can't post this, would it be possible for you to post a recommendation for SpiderPerformance from me. 0-60 in 5.6sec plus a trip Southampton to Paris 4-up with luggage 70mph in GB, 130kph in France at 43.3mpg overall. |
