Default Mercedes A160 [Gear Box Clutch Actuator]

I HaVE an A160 2001 and the Gear Box Clutch Acturator is burnt out,so I
have been told. The would not start, so after finding out the problem,we
removed the unit from under the n/s/f wing, and was told it was burnt out.
Would you have come across this problem. Before replacing the unit, it would
be nice to know what caused it to burn out. Can you Help?

Many Thanks.
Roland.

It is a very common issue on the clutchless A classes.

The motor just gives up.

Bear in mind that it may need a new clutch too and you need a Star diag machine to bleed it properly.
