Default Rough gear change 7g auto

I have a 2006 CLK280 with a 7g auto and the gear change from 2nd to 3rd is very obvious. When slowing down, the same applies, 3rd to 2nd but I get a noticable bump like a brief shove in the rear end. Anyone have experienced similar if so what to be done?

Thanks Ian

It has been suggested to me in the past that a gear box oil change can help ..

Hi,

It sounds like you may need a sofware update from a dealer. Try this first.

Thanks for your input. The fault turned out to be a series of mechanical adjustments to the actuators in the transmission. All fixed and going well
