Post M112 E37 / ML 350 .vs. S 350

Hello gurus,

I wonder if both are identical as far as the engine assemblies are concerned and they are interchangeable. I mean the M112 based 3.7L powerplant. They probably involve distinct control and management units but I'd like to know if the engine stuff remains the same.

Regards,

Regards,
The great difference lays in the transmission profile and exhaust system and much to the lament of one pioneerwho tried to install an ML version into a E-W211 and bent the dipstick tube so that the hood would close.

The position of various attachments varies according to steering rack and then also the length of various other tubes. In some of the larger cars there is additional contro gear for a second pump or perhaps a second battery. This is however in the software of the controller and not in the engine.

Thanks for the information.

However, it could be a challenge to fix an E37 into a M112 based C class. I'm actually looking at the viability to fit it into a W202 M112 E28. I succeeded in an E32 swap but I'm not sure if I can get it done with E37.

Regards,

I dont know the E-codes. I only recognise the M-codes.

Sunil from Houston did an W211 E55 engine into his W203 C-class. So anything is possible.
