    Default Remove switch row w209

    Hi,

I am trying to install a comand system on my facelifted w209. The part where I am having difficulties is removing the switch row to gain acces to the upper two T20 torx screws that hold the audio 20 system in place. How do i remove the switch row panel (heated seats, sunblind, hazard lights, etc)??? The only way I see is a little space when I open the cupholder. How do i proceed from there?

    Thanks in advance

Use a cluster hook on the left and right sides and take your time.

I've managed to get these out with my fingers in the gap by the cupholder and a good tug, but normally now I follow benzmodz's advice as it is more reliable and you don't need to straighten the clips afterwards :-)

I suspect I manage with my fingers when the unit has been removed before so the clips are looser.

ps, make sure the cluster pulling hook goes in a couple of inches, you must not be pulling on the wood/metal facia, but on the back of the control unit itself.
