Thread: S500 - few random issues after window issue

Hi all,

wondering if someone can piont me in the right direction for sorting a few faults out,
yesterday i noticed that my passenger side window wouldnt come back up (i think this is due to lack of use) so i started the task of taking the door card off to find the problem, it turned out it just needed a lift, so it was just a crusty channel.
so all was fine untill i noticed that the soft close then wouldnt work on that door which i have no idea what could cause this, and this morning was the major issue when the central locaking wouldnt work, it would open and lock maybe one in twenty tries, so its not that it doesnt work its that it just kinda doesnt want to lol, ive tried both fobs so can rule out issues with the fob, the system itself seems to work just not remotely

Regarding the central locking, do the door pins lower very slowly after the indicators blink or do the indicators not blink at all.

Regarding the window closing have you considered using a rubber treatment for the window frame lining ? It may need replacement.

ive managed to sort the central locking out now turned out to be a blown fuse checked them once but must have missed it, it got to the stage where the door pins just wouldnt move though,
just need to sort the soft close on the passenger door now, which im goin to take the door card off again this weekend and double check everything

Soft close also has its own fuse.
