    Default Cornering lights [W203]

    Hi, all

I have a T-Modell W203207 of Nov.2003 and want to enable cornering lights.

I noticed on cars that do that, on Star, under Body - SAM-f - dev mode - Control unit adaptations - Abbiegelicht apart from this option disable/enable, there is another parameter that states the country. Mine does not state the country, and although I enable it, it never works. So, I think maybe I need to update the front SAM?

I send a pdf file so you can see the part numbers and maybe help me out.

    Thanks

I'm about 90% sure 2003 front SAM won't support cornering lights. You shouldnt need to code these in developer mode. Also, check in the CGW (control unit adaptations -> ALL CODES ) (which on W203 may actually be in the EIS, so you need to look in there)

This only applies to the 2005 SAM and later. He needs a new front SAM (fuse box).

    Ok, thanks for helping.

I have a friend with a December 2004 W203208, in which we managed to activate the function!???

So, if my SAM isn't suitable, can you tell a Part number after which the function will be available, so I can search for it?

    Thanks!

Any new W203 front SAM is correct for this function.

    Thanks for your answer.

But no, I wanted to know from which P/N on the SAM-F would provide the function. I don't want to buy a new one, I want to identify a suitable used one

    Tks anyways

Ok, you need a Model Year 2005 onward SAM. (December 04 is Model Year 2005)

Before you go hunting a second hand one, just check the new prices with your dealer first. Lots of used ones with issues out there and I recall that new ones were not too expensive.

These seem to be MY06->MY08, so go with one of these

    A203 545 36 01
    A203 545 42 01
    A203 545 46 01
    A203 545 50 01

You have to always consider why it is being sold. I never trust used electronics unless they perform just a boring function such as radio.
