    Smile radar sensor for distronic

    hi richard
    can this radar sensor for distronic unit be install ina w207 if the car does not comes with it ??
    what it mean by ( parts must be checked after installation for current flashware )
    please advise .....

    This retrofit can almost certainly be done, its just a matter of getting the parts, fitting them and then getting the car SCN coded. there will be more parts required than just the radar sensor though.

    Wiring harness

    The latter is the hardest part, not sure whether EPC shows the part number. Some cars (like some ML) have the wiring there always. All info in EPCnet (which you can subscribe to for 15 euros per year, search the other threads for info from alfie)

    It is often very difficult to get Mercedes to update the car's datacard (in VeDOK) with 'distronic' so that it can be coded on all newer cars.
