Default Remaing Fuel In Tank Coding

How can i enable the remaining fuel in tank in my W209 MY2006?

I have Star and a developer key for DAS, in which menu is that option to enable it?

PS I have made some changes to my Clusters control unit while enabling auto folding mirrors when lock unlock, is it possible to restore the original coding of the unit (like leaving the factory plant)?

Varies depending on the cluster software

Go into the developer coding menu. Look in the sub-menus for something starting with 'Tankinfo' which will be off. Turn it on, save it, and then do a cluster reset from the developer actuations menu

Be careful, dont change things you dont know what to do, and if I were you i'd print all the settings off before touching anything

I already did some changes, but nothing major, just some changes considering key dependance and stuff!

Although i would like to know how to upload all the default values!

Wouldnt it be wise if we had a forum dedicated to Star Diagnosis? (Xentry/DAS, EPC, WIS etc.) ?

Do the coding 'initialisation where no old unit available' process. BUT don't do it of the unit would normally be SCN coded otherwise you'll have to SCN code it and most people don't have the Mercedes login to do that and you'll be left with a mess.

I have avoided this here (a) most people who know this stuff don't give it away very easily because their businesses charge for this 'unique' service, and (b) there is a forum at Mercedes WIS & DAS install guides on Star diagnosis so why split it all up !

If, in the non engineering mode coding menus you have lots of coding options then its NOT SCN coded. If you can only (more or less) SCN code from in there, then you can't do much with it.

A/B/ML/GL/R and all newer cars have SCN coded clusters....

On this cluster there is a variable within developer menu with the function TANKINFO. You will find that this has been switched off.

I switched it on but it didnt have any effect!

BUT after making a nation wide coding, i got all kinds of extra menus such as the oil level indication (had also to buy a sensor so that i can get a reading out of it) plus the Tank Info reading!

All is good now, so in case anybody is interested and cant make it work, a nation wide coding helps!
