Default Daytime Running lights [W212]
Can daytime running lights be added to the latest E class Model W212 Se by replacing the lower grill that currently have foglamps?

The Front SAM will need to be told it has different lights, but I don't see why not (assuming the bumpers are the same shape)

SAM is a Signal Acquisition Module - in the case of the front one it controls most things at the front of the car (head lights, wipers, indicators, fog lamps) - this includes the bulb failure mechansim, which expects to see normal lights not LED ones.

I dont know whether the connectors are the same between the LED running lamps vs normal fog lamps ..
