Thread: W211 mid console warning light

I'm driving a 2003 E klasse 270 Cdi Combi, the last couple of days the left seatheating red light is on and the complete midconsole is not working. All switches are dead. How can I attack this problem.

Take out that panel and check all the wiring is properly plugged in.

Look at in the W211 section on Mercedes Electronics upgrades, installation and retrofits on how to disassemble

Thanks for the quick reply but to remove the CD charger I need to open it first and there is the catch the complete panel is not working. Before I start to dismantel it can it be opened manually. Is there maybe a reset code for the complete system.

You do not need to open the CD changer compartment to remove it

The whole section is held in by 2 screws underneath visible (with all the wiring connectors) once you have removed the ashtray, which means removing the gear surround panel first
