Can you please tell me the diference between this part numbers ????


203 830 09 85
203 830 05 85

They are both for the w203 face lift...but why diferent numbers ???

Mercedes update part numbers when (at least) the following occurs

a) hardware revisions
b) software revisions (even though new controllers are flashable)
c) new supplier

Its most likely to be (b) or (c) but theres no way of finding out

Both of those are option 580 aircon controllers. 09 85 replaced 05 85 but not sure when.

I have heard that some times the digital clima control doesn't work depending on part number, is this true ?????
