    Default W220 Climate probs

Hi, ive had my 2002 S500L for nearly a month now and noticing some strange behavior of the climate control and hope some one can help me coz its starting to do my head in!

1st) the front climate seems to operate fine until i accelerate heavily, then the right hand dash vent (and poss other right outlets) blows full hot air and refuses to blow cold no matter how i set the temp or vent controls, the other vents seem to continue to operate correctly and the only way to restore operation is to stop and turn off engine and ign, wait approx 1-2 mins then re start??

2nd) the rear climate has always blown full hot since i got the car, ive removed the centre rear vent and lower panel and noticed two 2pin plugs just sitting disconnected behind the panel, the wire colours are brown & grey/blue for one plug and brown & grey/black for the other? should these be connected to temp sensors by any chance? and if so where should they be, ive looked in the vicinity but cant see where they go???

any help much much apriciated, i spent 2 hours today fishing round to no avail.

    Thanks
    Mark

Thanks for the advice Benzmodz but think you may of miss understood the problem.
ive had the aircon gas checked and it was fine only slightly low and was told it would not of caused any probs.

the 1st prob) the front climate seems to operate fine until i accelerate heavily (foot down almost fully), then the right hand dash vent (and poss other right outlets) blows full hot air and refuses to blow cold no matter how i set the temp or vent controls, when i say full hot i mean roasting hot as if the temp is set to high!, the other vents seem to continue to operate correctly and the only way to restore operation is to stop and turn off engine and ign, wait approx 1-2 mins then re start??

The 2nd prob) the rear climate (i have the limo car with the seperate climate for the rear!) has always blown full hot (again really hot as if set to Hi!) since i got the car, ive removed the centre rear vent and lower panel and noticed two 2pin plugs just sitting disconnected behind the panel, the wire colours are brown & grey/blue for one plug and brown & grey/black for the other? should these be connected to temp sensors by any chance? and if so where should they be, ive looked in the vicinity but cant see where they go??? (update i think the wires have nothing to do with this, the brown + gray/black one i think is for low level lighting as the same colours are connected to the LED lights above the footwells in the front?)
does any one have any ideas how to confirm cabin temp sensors are reading right in the diagnosics menu (holding REST down)

any help on this would be really appriciated as it really is driving me nuts now???

    Thanks
    Mark

Im not an aircon expert, but there is something called the 'duo valve' which controls where the hot water is routed to (left or right) for heating. If this sticks then you get the symptoms you suggest. I presume there is a similar valve for the rear end.

If you look under the bonnet you will see the duo valve near the bulkhead somewhere, it has 1 pipe in and 2 pipes out. when its all in broken mode you'll probably find one is hot and the other is not. At that point whack it with something and see if that fixes it.

Temp sensors are in the pipework.

Certainly one of those wires is interior lighting wire.
