Im afraid I don't - but most electronic repair shops now have the hot air stuff to change chips.
Richard
I think I might give this a go, i've ordered a new chrome key, so when i get it I'll have a go recasing/chipping the old black one into an eBay donor.
I just need to know..how do I actually get the chip card out of the key without breaking it?
Regards Colin.
There is hot air desoldering that will "released" the chip. You do have to be careful not to overheat the chip of course.
If doing manually you can get desoldering bits for normal soldering irons that are flat and will melt all the solder down one side, so you could place very gentle pressure with a scredriver upward as you desolder one side, then do the other.
I'd buy an extra duff key to practice removing and resoldering on ..
Cheers
Richard
