    Default NTG1 says system unavailable [W220 S]

Hi, I am new to this site and also to owning 2005 S320 cdi, which the main console screen shows system unavailable on everything, map dvd will not eject, only had car 2 weeks, phone didnt work so fitted new Viseeo MB2 which wounldnt work at first as system didnt see it, then after 24hrs it started working OK, can anyone please give me some advice on what I need to try and do, could the problem be with the map dvd in the boot? The unit seems to be dead and will not eject, how do you remove this unit from its holder, so that I can take it apart?
    Regards
    Ken

The drive comes out with radio removal keys similar to ones used in pre-2000 cars.

BTW, you get this problem if anything on the fibre optic network fails, but given the drive won't eject that would be the first place I would look

    If you buy this tool

Comand Online Ltd :: Tools :: Fibre optic looping tool for MOST bus

you can bypass the fibre for the drive, and if that then works you know it was the faulty units.

These tools help removing the drive, but you can normally get your fingers round the side of the carpet and release the clips

Default Thanks for reply, problem found

found out what the problem was, a 52p plastic plug in the corner of the boot drainage system, the centre pin had fallen out, flooding the area where the satnav is fitted, but below that is an amp unit which was under water as the centre of the plug blocked the drain hole the the boot floor drain plug, not happy about replacement cost £900 from dealers
This is a bad design as anything like this type of plug should have a cap on it so that it cant fall out.

Very unusual. Sounds like someone damaged the connector.
