Default Bulb upgrades for W215 CL

I'm looking to change some of the bulbs on my 2002 CL55 AMG, specifically the front indicators to chrome, front sidelights to led/zenon look and door and number plate lights to led.
I'm looking for a cleaner, more modern look, leds seem to do this.
    1. Can someone post the type/code of bulbs I will need?
    2. Any don't do's to watch out for?
    3. Would I need to change any back for the mot?
    4. Any links/photos of someone who has done this before?
    Thanks, Colin.

I havent done this before, but the issues are

The car has a bulb monitoring system that expects the bulbs to draw the appropriate amount of current. If you switch to LED bulbs, a LED draws a lot less current, so a resistor is needed in the bulb.

So ensure you buy bulbs that draw the right amount of current or you will get bulb warning messages !

As long as bulbs work and are right colour, I think the MOT should be no issue - the only problem is aftermarket Xenons which are apparently not legal.

Car Lights - Car Bulbs - Headlights - Wiper Blades - Xenon Bulbs | Autobulbs Direct Ltd have a nice database of approprate upgrade bulbs - pretend you have a S class since they don't have CL and electronics is basically the same

    I hope that helps

Hi Richard, thanks very much for the link, I'm not sure it is accurate however.
S class shown is 99 on, I don't think any zenons are shown?
    Please advise, Colin.

All of the lighting systems are current monitored. So any change of load will cause the system to warn you. You will need a great big ugly resistor some place in the loop.

If you follow this link onto eBay you will find a seller that sells loads of bulbs etc:

eBay Seller: easy-driving: Vehicle Parts Accessories items on eBay.co.uk

Contact him via eBay (his name is Peter) and he has the bulbs you require with the appropriate load resistors or will get them for you. Do mention us !
