    Default R Class SAM rear unit

    Hi Does anyone know what the layout of the SAM (signal aquisition module) as i am trying to find 'cavity G' in order to complete the wiring off towbar electrics?

    If you look very carefully it is labelled on the plastic.

    have looked all around the plastic casing and on this one there is no lettering. where exactly will i find it as i have looked on the carriers themseves as well? thanks for your prompt reply from before.

    I heard about this from people working on W204. To make matters worse they also tell me that a number of the connectors are not orderable.

    You will have to revert to the wiring diagram in WIS. All of the connectors that are able to be installed in a SAM are keyed for only one slot. There are only CANBUS connectors used more than once.

    spoke to very friendly Merc garage and after some routing around the stores to find a SAM unit we have concluded it was the middle connector in the row and finally today got the software upgrade and everything works a treat.
