Default Items missing since cluster was coded

    Hi all,
Had a replacement cluster SCN coded by dealer a few weeks back but I've noticed that I no longer have the 'no malfuctions' menu in there.

I also can't syn the clock to the COMAND HU.
I believe a setting needs to be changed via developer mode. Anyone know what this is?

    Thanks.

    Quick update:
Spoke to dealer that did the SCN coding and said that reason I no longer have those screens is because MB have deleted them.
Spoke to another dealer and they said the same.

Can anyone with a facelift 211 please confirm if you have feature to synchronise cluster clock with COMAND?

Seems odd that MB would remove it, as would be a backward step.

I dont recall ever seeing a menu from factory that was called "Sync to HU" as a standard offering. This was only ever custom coded.

Was certainly an option with my previous cluster.
I'm sure its on my mums 211 also.

Are you saying it can come back with dev mode in STAR? (Plus some knowledge of German, of course.)

The menu to switch is not always there, often there is no menu and it always takes the time from the cluster

What needs to be done is to look in the key settings for key 3 and set the time-synchronisation to ON - then it takes the time from the COMAND
I think this is settable without developer mode

I think that the 'no malfunctions' screen may only appear if there are malfunctions now

Yes, it seems the 'no malfunctions' screen has been deleted but should a fault occur eg. Washer fluid low, it does indeed appear as a message on screen. But the message only appears on start up. In the olden days, it used to flash up as a malfunction and then bleep at you on switch off to act as a reminder.

With regards to key setting three, I had a look in DAS in SIM mode, but as you say, not all options are the same in sim mode.
I'm looking at getting a mux soon so will hopefully be able to go further with it then.
