for mercedes new e class how do you refreshed the firmware and settings (on software level) within the light switching module .
can xentry do the work ??

How do I get the online xentry ?

You need a Genuine Star Diagnosis machine and a login on the Mercedes SCN coding database. (See http://aftersales.i.daimler.com )

I.E. You are either a Mercedes dealer or you have bought/leased Star Diagnosis from Mercedes.

If you try and use a Star Diagnosis machine without logging in (i.e. in Offline mode), it will update the flash in the control unit, but not be able to code the unit after the upgrade and you will likely have a badly functioning module. So do not do that.

There is always a risk that a control unit breaks when the firmware is being flashed, You should consider leaving this to a Mercedes dealer.
