Hey guys I need some info on how the factory antenna amplifier is activated. I installed an aftermarket system in my cls55 amg and everything is great but my reception is poor. I am pretty sure the antenna amplifier is not activating. Any help with pinouts, wiring or the like would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Sorry this is nor a complete answer, but I recall that the amplifiers are powered from the rear SAM.

Check the 'antenna system' wiring diagram, or the Rear SAM one. (you can get 1 day access at www.startekinfo.com to WIS (which contains wiring diagrams etc))

Note that the NTG1 antenna amps are not perfect with the NTG2.5 (new hard disk comand) system (and certainly the 2nd amp doesnt work at all) - so may not be that good with your aftermarket system and you may have to change to the newer antenna amps.
