in need of some assistance please
I recently purchased this unit, after some advice from other members that it is an okay unit to use.

NEW Multimedia Interface Adapter Mercedes Comand 2.5 on eBay (end time 30-Mar-10 13:47:12 BST)
(I know the pics shows 2.0 but i have been assured the units are the same, just the cables are different.)

But I seem to be having some issues in getting it to work.

3 weeks ago i ordered this unit, from poland, and after taking a week to arrive, i had been sent the wrong cable, and had to send it back at my expense, finally got the right cable arrive, but after sales support is NIL and IMO not one of the better traders on ebay.

Ok, whinging over...

1st thing is, that on my COMAND, tv tuner is NOT activated , is that essential to make this unit work ?

2ndly, as in the pictures, B,C,D,E cables are simple,
BUT cable A : yellow BUS LOW , white BUS HIGH
I am assuming connect into the C2 socket in slots 17 and 18 , the diagram i have lists these two slots as TV can high and low.
My questions here are, is that the right 2 sockets ?
and
do i remove the 2 in there and plug these in, or add them to the exhisting cable. I ask because the cables already come fitted with the correct connectors to slide into the plug.

Please help, i have no cd player and can only listen to so much radio 1 or kerrang :-/

Without knowing the product my best guess is that your car is TV prewired. Then maybe the best solution is to install this technology in the back of the car and add a digital tuner at the same time.

HI,
there is not tv kit installed, the option is off on COMAND.

There is no cd player or anything installed in the car, and nothing using the fibre optic port on the back of my COMAND 2.5.

So, id assume i have nothing in the boot of the car to add to ?

You already said that your car has the wires in the same position that the adapter wants to connect to.

Check your datacard for option 861 or 862.

the wires i'm not sure about are the two listed as A in the pic above, these are the 2 i dont know where to connect to.
there is no plug in the tv socket, one is provided with the kit ( lead c )
