Hi
The 2662 is a D2B CD changer, but not one supplied by Mercedes.

Sound and control go over the D2B (fibre optic) bus, and thus the fact that you have control means that the bus is working (which is a good 1st step), and the fact that you can move tracks etc suggest that the laser pickup in the CD changer is in fact working.

So, either something nasty in the CDC has failed and is not feeding the audio out onto the fibre optics properly, or this is just a "software" fault.

So, firstly, I would
a) remove the power to the CD changer (look here: Becker Silverstone 2662 Changer Installation Tips ) (don't undo the fibres)
b) remove the power to the COMAND unit itself (you'll have to find the fuse)
c) restore power to CD changer
d) restore power to COMAND

I suspect that will fix it. If not, it is likely to be the CD changer - although I have no experience of the 2662 itself and haven't seen a "no sound but it works and follows tracks properly" CD changer fault before !

Richard

The CD changer is powered by the COMAND.

Did you pull the fuse for COMAND ?

As benzmodz says, normally CDC is powered by COMAND - however, as your's is a retrofit (as its not a genuine Mercedes changer), it could be powered differently, which is why I want you to unplug the power to the CD changer.

If you feel you can't do what I suggest above yourself, you need to get a car-hifi dealer, or if near Woking perhaps PM alfie

I am going to merge your other 2 threads about this into this one, please keep the info for this problem in this thread as it makes it easier to read - Thanks

Cheers

Richard
