Replaced my audio 20 for comand NTG2.5 all working and firmware updated to latest release, took to dealer for the cluster to be programed but they were unable to do it, got new data card from MB UK but still not working, they were out of ideas, phone buttons on steering wheel also not working any ideas as MB dealer not to hot on star programing??

If the datacard has been updated to show option 527, then get the dealer to do the following on Star in the Info&Communications->Instrument_Cluster menu

a) SCN code the cluster
b) Enable the iPod

Must be done in that order. Dealer should know how to enable the iPod function as I'm sure he has fitted iPod kits - this enables the phone controls

Data card set with option 512 as it has the 6 disk dvd changer but everthing else was done as you say except ipod as i dont have the media interface. or does it need to have ipod done anyway.

I wonder if having 512 means the older W211 won't SCN code properly as it doesnt know what 512 means (as its a MY09 option code). If you can get 527 set instead of 512 then SCN code, that should work.

The iPod thing is actually turning on the phone functions, which enables the steering wheel controls.
