My friend I have a problem!
In my w211 Mercedes modell 2004 with audio 20
I have retrofitted the comand aps DVD ntg 2.5 Bought from eBay from a lithouanial dealer with sd card fitting all the adaptors from kabel daviko store from german
It is all ok and all (audio tellephone, Bluetooth instrumental cluster) works perfect!
But the my problem is this:
In new maps update 2009/2010 I need before upgrading make a update the comand with new cd telematics 06/2009 with star diagnosis!
The star can't "see" the comand nor other device audio, nor the Agw or other else but in this poiont in screen has "!", I don't know why? Maybe the device is for face lift mercedes and not for my car we have reprogramate the hu, but the some result! The star no see the comand!*
There is the cabel to be fault in some point?
Can I bypass this difficulty and make update my comand manual and how?

a) There is a newer update, 01/2010 - I would use that not the 06/2009 one.

b) Tell Star Diagnosis the car is a R171 SLK not a W211. - otherwise it is looking for the old NTG1 system with Star on W211. I don't know why. This worked for me yesterday on the install I did !!

(For further info, if working on A/B class, tell it it is a R320 SL)

There is no number that must be put in star.

They just have to go through the standard 'flash' procedure under the 'COMAND' diagnostic menus.
