Thread: ViseeO MB2 Problem with GL450 - can't finish calls

I'm trying to make ViseeO MB2 work with my 2007 GL450 and iPhone 3GS and I run into several problems:

1. I can't finish the call from Comand. When I press "End" button on the screen or on the dashboard (or even on the wheel) - nothing happens. Making calls and loading the phone book works though.

2. When I finish the call on my iPhone - the Comand screen remains in the "On Call" state for about one minute. After that - I receive 3 messages on screen:

- Phone not Available
- Phone not Inserted
- Phone is initializing, Please Wait

Sounds like the phone system on mercedes is rebooting itself

3. When I make a phone call using Comand - 2 or 3 minutes into the call the voice disappears and I get the same 3 messages (Phone not Available, Phone not Inserted, Phone is Initializing) and the phone conversation resumes (so the phone call is not being dropped).

What I have tried:

a) I have downloaded and installed all the latest ViseeO firmware for Bluetooth and CPU - no improvement.

b) I have also tried the ViseeO software switches for W204 mode (my understanding is that my GL450 should NOT operate in W204 mode - it would be nice if it could be confirmed)

I suspect that the problem might be with the Comand software (but I have no knowledge on how to diagnose them or upgrade the software).

Yes, 07 GL should not be in W204 mode

It sounds like there may be an issue with the phone system in your car - there are firmware updates for the phone controller which are installed by the dealer with a special adapter that plugs in instead of the phone cradle.
