Hi Richard

Couldnt wait till next weekend, as i still had the STAR machin handy, 9pm last night after i got home from work took the child seats out and set to work.

- snipped the blue/black wire from the VCS harness near the phone harness, and spliced into the pink Wakeup wire.
- check most configuration, nothing
- Checked the fibres, and the VCS was in the wrong way round, changed this and bingo! all the devices inc voice control showed up. saved this, went through initialisation of VCS and phone, and it all seems to be working.

the only thing it doesnt recognise is the names from the address book once picked up from my viseeo unit, is this normal?

Again, thanks Richard for filling in all the missing information for me, and Thanks to Alfie, Miro, and MBenznl for their input.

In my quest for the most spec`d out w211, all i have left now from the options list is the ipod kit (but as i dont even own an ipod, this can wait lol)

Thanks again, great forum, does perfectly whats its set up to do!

The phone system address book should still function the same within COMAND's phone address book, but Linguatronic has it's own voice-tagged address book, so you need to tell it names and numbers ("store number" I think)

Thanks Richard, will give it a go at the weekend!

one more thing (there always is) on the phone system DTC, it was showing open circuit for microphone array, i assume this is normal as mic is now on the VCS?

I think that if you do the "startup" (initialisation) coding on the phone controller that sorts that issue out and it all behaves itself perfectly after that.
