Default MOST VCS system. Is it any good?

Thanks Richard and Miro for helping me with my UHI install on my w220. I moved the microphone connections over to the UHI controller and it worked great.

I'm thinking of fitting linguatronic but was wondering if it is worth the cost. Do you have to spell the destination out or can you say it as a whole word? Also how accurate is it?

Many thanks

Adam

It can be trained and I really like it.

You only spell the first three letters and then page down a list. Choose a number of the line you want.

Works really well.

One final question. I noticed that there are several MOST voice control ecu versions/updates. Is there any noticable difference between the early VCS ecu.s and later ones?

Thanks

Adam

Later ones work better. With the old (D2B) system, later ones had more commands, I dont know if that is true with the MOST system.

Try getting the latest version.

Email sales@comandonline.co.uk - they have one of the latest ones in stock that i'm sure they will do at a good price (mention mbguru)

Cheers

Richard

All the updates were in the headunit and not the VCS. The newer firmware gave excellent phonebook handling.

Thanks again for all the help. I've just finished installing the vcs.
Installing the column lever was quite tricky. Firstly the nut holding the steering wheel on was very tight. Also disassembling the clockspring, airbag and other switches was quite nerve wracking.

The ecu was very straight forward in the s-class as all the wiring is already there. Thanks Richard for the ecu offer but I already had an ealrlier one and I can't justify the cost for the upgreade at present.

I'm surprised how good it is. I did the training exercise and it's very accurate. It even can recognise some towns spoken as whole words.

Cheers

Adam
