Thread: Can I conect an ipod to a glk audio 20 without umi?

Hello, I bought a new glk with audio 20 (6 cd) and harman sound system. they will give me the car in april. I asked the dealer about conecting an ipod to my audi 20 and he said I need the expensive UMI or COMMAND, I dont want the gps and dont care about watching movies in the car I just want to conect and ipod or a usb port to the audio 20 in my glk. The dealer said it is imposible to do that without a umi.

can i install an ipod interfaz with audio 20? (all dealers in spain say no, i dont trust them)

If theres is something to conect the ipod to a glk audio 20... can anybody please tell me the product number and where to buy it?

can I control the ipod with the radio controls and see song titles and folders on the screen and will the iphone charge bateries while playing music?

Is it easy to install? can anybody post pics or instruction about how to plug it to the audio 20?

You can add the generic Mercedes iPod kit, which is controlled from the steering wheel and instrument cluster (the COMAND just is in AUX input mode). This just connects an iPod
