    Hi Sophie

All Mercedes have the phone buttons on the steeering wheel and the radio, but many (most ?) do not have the optional phone system installed.

From about 2005 onward the genuine phone system has a range of optional clip on cradles (including bluetooth versions) tha plug onto the phone cradle connector which is normally visible in the centre armrest.

On the A class, if you have the centre armrest, the connector is in that little pop out drawer. If it doesnt have the centre armrest then its in the tray to the right of the hand brake.

If your car has it, then given you have a 6310i, Mercedes have a clip on cradle for that. Let us know and I will find someone (probably on eBay) that has it at a good price. Given the age of the 6310i there are lots of used ones around. [edit, I re-read the message and realised you have the cradle already]

If your car does not have it, it is expensive to fit it, but I can suggest some fitters.

    Richard

(ps connector is about 1.5" square, with a flat edge at the bottom and a half moon shaped top part)

    Default popout draw

I have an Armrest that moves back and forward a little and has a little pop out draw to the side of the hand break, where I keep my sun glasses would it be visable in there or would I have to remove the little tray my glasses sit in to find it ??

    Kind Regards Sophie

You dont have the phone kit if you have the storage holder.

Another option would be to have the 2010 Audio 20 installed which comes with Bluetooth and a CD stacker. A professional could install this newer radio and add the factory microphone to the overhead panel.

I have one of these newer radio units in hand.

    Default A Class phone

Would it be possible to remove the phone system from a 2005 E Class it has an Audio 20 system like mine, and fit it to my 06 A200 CDI the guy who gave me the cradle says when his car go's back at the end of the month I could have it, if it will come out. Kind Rgards Sophie xxx

    Sorry for delay..

The only thing that is the same (sadly) is 1 control unit - but if you buy all the other parts its more expensive than the retrofit kit mentioned above
