Default NTG 2.5 Navigation problem [W211]

I have a problem with the navigation in a NTG 2.5. When I am on the road the navigation map is spinning around and showing a wrong position. On the compass menu I can see 5-6 sattelies all the time. I have changed the GPS antenna, but it did not solve the problem. What is wrong with the navigation?

How recently did you install the unit ?

Was it with the car when you bought it ?

I have made a retrofit from audio 20 to NTG 2.5 in a W211 (2004) , 2 months ago. The problem has been there since the unit was fitted, every thing else works just fine.
Could it be a software problem, maybe the NTG 2.5 need an update or could it be a bad connection with the GPS antenna? What do you think is most likely and is the a way that I can check the connection/signal with the GPS antenna?

Sorry for delay - bad antenna connection, or bad coding of the COMAND - I would (a) update the firmware in COMAND to latest version, (b) check the coding and (c) read the fault codes and see what it says about the antenna.

- you need someone with Star diagnosis and developer mode, who has done this before really though - Where are you ??
