    Default IPOD connection (volume low)

I have a w209 2006 CLK that has the factory fitted AUX cable and plug in the glove compartment. When I connect my IPOD Nano to the cable, the sound is barely audible unless I wind up the Audio 20 volume way high. If I forget to turn it down when I disconnect the IPOD, I nearly get balsted out of the car.
Is this normal for an IPOD connection? The IPOD works ok in a docking station, earphones and its own speaker, just not when connected to the Audio 20 in the car. Any clues please

    thanks Ingin

There is an additional amplifier you may purchase which takes about 10min to install.

Hi Benzmods, Thanks for the help. Can you please tell me what and where I can get the necessary stuff. Is it a self install?

    Thanks Ian

This is the amplifier if the car has the Mercedes iPod kit

Comand Online Ltd :: iPod Kits :: Mercedes iPod line amplifier

If car does not have iPod kit, then you need to go to a shop like Maplin or Tandy and get a 12v iPod amp and wire that in
