Thread: Visee0 MB-1000 phone book query

Hi,

A friend was kind enough to bring the visee0 MB-1000 for my W211 MY 2004 (which has the Nokia 6310i cradle) and it worked perfectly on connecting .

My obvious next step was to download the phone book into the Vissee0 and that too was fine, however following are the details and my query:

Cradle : Nokia 6310i
Adapter : Visee0 MB-1000
Phone : Nokia N95 8GB

As the Nokia N95 does / is not supported for automatic sync with the Visee0, I had to manually "send" (OPP) the phone book across, which worked fine.

However, I need to delete a few entries as they have been duplicated (error on my part as I was still in the learning curve and sending the phone book single entry at a time to test the sytem and ended up sending a couple of them across twice.) .

1. How do you delete entries from the Visee0 phone book?
2. How many entires can be stored in the Visee0 phone book?
3. Is it possible/how do I assign speed dial entries?

Sorry for delay

1) you can delete from the COMAND. If that doesnt work, then you have to pair 3 more phones and then pair your phone again (there is no master reset on the MBU-1000. There is on MBU-2000 / MB2 though)

2) About 600 I think, but the head unit has restrictions. My recall is about 500 on W211 COMAND

3) I dont think you can - because I dont think you can force particular phonebook entries into the correct memory locations.

Hello again (and another query)!

Upgraded my Nokia N958GB to the Blackberry Bold 9780 aka Bold 3.

The phone paired fine and I can make incoming and outgoing calls work fine. I understand from other posts that this phone supports auto sync.

So after pairing, I pressed the phone book sync button (while the green light was flashing) and it continued to flash for atleast 20 mins. after which I had to leave the vehicle. So in short, I could not complete the upload as the flashing light never went steady.

After this above, I pressed the memory button (curiosity!) on the command unit and there were a few entires, however some of them were duplicate and these are not duplicated in the phone.

So my queries are:

(1) Do I press the phone book sync button every time I need to sync, even the first time?

(2) How long should a sync take? (about 1500 entires)

(3) Is there any way to select only a few contacts for sync to the Visee0?

(4) Why are some of the entires duplicated?
