Thread: NTG 2.5 and phone buttons

I have installed a HDD NTG 2.5 instead of an Audio 20 (radio/cd) in my W211. The MB workshop says that it is not possible to activate the phone buttons on the steering wheel and get the numbers visible in the instrument. Is that correct? How do I get the buttons working?

tell the mb dealer to code the cluster as if they were fitting an iPod kit. They will have done that a number of times...
