Thread: New UMI Installed question

Hello! I recently had my UMI installed into my new GLK. I love it!

Quick question though...

Is there a way for the UMI/NAV function to show the street names on the Map as your driving without entering a destination? I find it kind of nice when the NAV shows the names as you go by each street.

It only seems to do this when I enter a destination. The NAV screen and hte Multifunction screen show what street I am currently on. But it does not show the name as I approach a new street.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!

So you would like the navigation to show you the names of streets that you are not going to drive on.

Well. Say on my mobile phone with Google Maps. As I am driving down the street. As the crossstreets go by, I see the names of those streets as I pass them. I thought all GPS units did this. Maybe I am wrong?

The way you see it (i.e the road you are on) is what all Mercedes systems i've seen do.
