    Default w220, s class, sat nav no signal.

    Hi can anyone help me please, I have a problem with comand 2.5 showing me no sats, i have a map but car is not showing it in its correct location and time clock in dash is loosing time, i assume this is adjusted by means a gps time signal, i have tried another aerial in the back of comand unit but still shows no sats, any ideas or advise ????

    If you have tried a new GPS antenna (and left it all plugged in for 20 mins at least with the antenna with a clear view of the sky (glass & plastic inbetween OK, but metal) then sadly it is the GPS receiver in the COMAND.

    Yes, the instrument cluster gets the time from the comand which gets it from the GPS signal.

    If you are in UK, people have mentioned these guys for repairs, but I have not tried them

    Thanx Richard for info, i am sure i did not give it 20 minutes but all the other comments you made were carried out, thank you for the useful link for a repairer of elecronic units, you are a star.

    Hi Richard just to let you know leaving sat nav on with new aerial connected for approx 30 mins worked to my surprise, many thanx Richard my sat nav is now up and working the way it should.
