    Default Mercedes Phones

I bought a E55 AMG ESTATE at the week end
1st Reg 30/01/2004. 65k miles, full MB history. Its not my first muscle car but it's beautiful, so so refined I'm delighted.

I'm a bit confused, I need to connect my Nokia 6700 using the existing cradle, the Blue Tooth adapter Merc part No A2048200535 does not show my Nokia model, does anyone know if it will work in this car?

    Thanks

    Hi
Firstly, arouind 2004 was that the cars switched from a fixed Nokia 6310i cradle to the UHI exchangeable cradle system, so ensure it has the exchangeable cradle system.

The cradle you mention is the SAP V2 cradle and should work. But (a) be aware that the SAP V3 is now out and a lot more compatible with more phones. (b) you could use a ViseeO MB-2 also (but it won't use the car's antenna like the SAP does but significantly cheaper. (c) if the car does not have exchangable cradle system then you need the ViseeO MBU-1000 - which you will have to send your address book to manually but it should work.

Sap V3: Comand Online Ltd :: Phone Cradles & Adapters :: Mercedes Bluetooth SAP Version 3 Cradle
MB-2: Comand Online Ltd :: Phone Cradles & Adapters :: ViseeO MB-2 (formerly MBU2000) UHI Bluetooth for Mercedes Benz
MBU-1000: Comand Online Ltd :: Phone Cradles & Adapters :: ViseeO MBU1000 Bluetooth for Mercedes Benz

Richard, sorry for the delay in replying re phone hook up, the best was the visee0 1000 worked first time and syncronised the phone book first time and was the best value. Very happy, thanks for the info.

Any idea what make of tyres were supplied originally on the 2004 AMG 55 (W211)

Probably Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Y rated. They were definetly on the SL55 in 04 and the wheels are same size between SL and W211-E Class
