Default Sirius Radio for 2003 s430 db2

Is there any way to add a sirius radio to comand on 2003 s430 4matic? Can you flash the radio with a new firmware and used the empty button on command? How can I deal with the fiber optics difference between satelite unit and db2 based system. Please help.

Sadly I think its impossible - I can't find a maker of any D2B sirius interface (I was looking for one that emulates a CD changer or such like)

Your best option is to use the AUX in (assuming you have the widescreen comand with CD map disk)

I'm looking for integration with controls as well. Don't want to go clearly aftermarket with controls screwed into a dashboard. Mercedes cars don't deserve that and it makes resale difficult

Agreed - however, I can't find any D2B sirius receivers - and even if someone made one that pretended to be a CD changer (so that the software in COMAND would see something it recognises) there is no cd-text facility in comand 2.0 so no way of getting the station names onto the screen in anycase...

If you do find such a device, please let us know ...
