Thread: Comand MCS pinout

I have a North American 2006 ML350 with an MCS Comand system (DVD & CD behind and ejectable screen) and I have installed a Motorola IHF1000. The IHF has a feature to mute the sound from the system as long as it's mute wire can be tagged to the mute wire on the Comand unit. Does anyone know which one that would be? To date I have been muting the radio with the mute button on the face plate controls.

Mute is on connector A2 pin 10. A2 is the part of the main big multilock 4+40 connector that can not be removed (where the power wiring goes in) (the other sub connectors in there just unclip)

1-8 = speakers - shell unclips from main 4+40 connector

9 = can b low (brown) twisted together with 11
10= mute (blue/black - wire there if you have teleaid)
11 = can b high brown/red twisted together with 9
12 = Ground (thick brown)

15 = +12 (thick red/black)
16 = wakeup (thin red/black)
