    Unhappy DAB retrofit to NTG2.5?

Ok, I have saved some more money and decided to get a secondhand "facelift" CLS, with the NTG2,5 comand. It appears that ones with DAB radios are very rare. I called at my local Merc dealer who said "it can't be done", something about there not being a work sheet or something. I just want to know: can it? Thanks, Bob.

    Yes it can be done.

Wiring loom, DAB tuner and new antenna and a bit of fibre.
Then dealer has to add option 517 (I think it is that) to the datacard and SCN code the COMAND unit. Or you need a smart independant who really knows how to use Star Diagnosis and has this month's factory password.

If your car already has Media Interface or HK audio, it may *just* work without coding.

If you are in UK and can make it to Woking, talk to Comand (Europe) Ltd - Great Deals on Mercedes Comand & Retrofitting Installations

Thanks Richard. I knew it had to be possible, they just couldn't be bothered.
Woking is only an hour away so when I've got the car, provided it doesn't already have DAB, I will call them. Cheers, Bob.
