Thread: DVD jammed in COMAND system

I have a 2005 C230 Kompressor, I have been searching everywhere with out any luck.
My navigation DVD (behind the navigation screen) is stuck. It seems to have dropped off track or whatever it is supposed to be on.
I was having a problem before with the system not reading the dvd, ejecting and reinserting seemed to help, unfortunately during one attempt the dvd dropped down.
Does anyone have any ideas before I take it to the $ealer uh i mean dealer.
Side note... everything works fine except for navigation.

As your Nav DVD is behind the screen, you must be in North America. Other countries have a different unit.

I suspect the dealer is going to say "new unit" - but please remember that the navigation processor is available seperately so it doesnt need a whole new unit.

As the nav processor is easily removable from the unit, you may like to try and remove it and see if what is broken is obvious. There are instructions on removing the Comand on a W203 on Mercedes Electronics upgrades, installation and retrofits
