Hi, i apologise if this has been covered but i have tried the search with no results?
My car is 2002 S500L, Comand 2.5 with the MB TV and Nav, Bose audio and Viseeo bluetooth adapter for the phone. I notice that the Comand's TV has 2x AUX imput settings in menu and im trying to find where i can connect the video and audio inputs to a standard portable DVD player? I've heared that the Comand 2.5 with factory fitted TV has the option but am unsure if the inputs are RCA type sockets hidden in a module somwhere or within a loom? can anyone help?? also interested to find if its possible to update the Comand's software to alow it to play MP3 cd's either through the nav cd or the changer? I have looked into this and although i found a reference to a hidden menu that has the option to enable MP3 play, the post was vague? any advice would be much apriciated and save me dismantaling my pride and joy Thanks Mark |

Around that point the TV tuner was changed from one with special connectors for its AUX inputs to one with RCAs. The RCA one also supports NTSC, so look in the menu and you can work out which you need. I'm pretty sure the tuner is in the boot behind one of the side panels, its a single-height DIN size device (i.e like an older car radio without a pretty front on it) If its the one with special connectors you can normally find the leads on eBay (but not at the moment) Richard |

Here is a link to an old eBay advert showing the lead you need if you have the non RCA version of the TV tuner.

Thanks for the info and advice Richard, think its the one without NTSC as there is no option in the menus but i havent located the tuner yet (up to my neck in work!), think i'll have a good look around the boot at the weekend (when work gives me a breather!!!)
i'll post my findings! Thanks Mark |

Thanks Richard for all your advice!
i've found the TV tuner behind the left side panel in the boot, its the one that needs the adapter but i think i may have a matching plug and am going to try & make a lead if i can find the pin outs (googling now!) Thanks again! Mark |
