Thread: activate the rear camera on Ml W164 2010

hello,
first of all I think you very much for this informational forum.
sorry for my English is my third language.
I have a ML W164 late 2010 bought from germany.
I have the comand NTG 2.5.
I added an aftermarket rear camera bought on Ebay.
I think that the rear camera futures is not activated on my comand, this is why, when I access to the engineering menu by "hang-up * 6" I don't have this functionality listed on the application menu.
can someone tell me what can I do?
the dealer here in tunisia told me that I have call the dealer where I bought my car in germany who have to send them a permission to activate the function is that right?

The dealer there has to
a) Have option 218 added to your data-card (he uses a system called XSF to tell the local technical department to add it)
b) Using Star Diagnosis, SCN code the COMAND unit once the datacard update has been done

This will enable the reversing camers
