Default iPod Integration Kit and Installation on 2007 E-Class

    Dear Gurus,

I have purchased an iPod Integration kit (MB part number B67-82-4238) for my 2007 E-Class, but I have a few questions.

    1) Is this the correct kit?

    2) Is the a bluetooth kit available that will allow me to use my iPhone 4S as both a phone and give me the ability to stream music to my car stereo. I currently have bluetooth installed on my E-Class, but it only allows me to send and receive calls, ie, cannot stream music to my head unit.

    3) Assuming the answer to number 2 above is no, are there any detailed instructions on how to install the kit that I have?

Sorry, I am not sure which head unit I have on this car since I purchased the car used. As mentioned above, the car is wired for a phone, which is working, and the unit does have an aux selection on the screen which assume is where the new kit needs to be connected.

Any help would be much appreciated since I don't want to pay the dealer $400 to $600 to install the kit. Thanks in advance!

    1) Yes, that is the kit for North American vehicles with COMAND (colour Satnav) - that model works in the pre MY2009 E/CLS

    2) The phone and music sections are seperate, so unless you replace the phone system and CDC (if you have it) with something like the mCar, you can not do bluetooth audio streaming.

Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes Phone/Bluetooth :: Phone System Retrofit Kits :: mCar Phone & Digital iPod interface for Mercedes NTG1/NTG2 vehicles

    3) If you look on Mercedes Electronics upgrades, installation and retrofits I describe how to install iPod in a W211 E class !

As you have AUX input, you have the Comand APS system (Pre MY2009 E class/CLS class only get AUX when you have Comand APS)

Thanks Richard! I installed the iPod Integration in my E-550 today. These instructions were awesome. FYI for other potential users, many of the connections are very difficult to get them to unclip. I used a very small regular head screw driver to unclip most of the connections. Once I learned how to unclip the connectors, the project went well.

    Thanks again MB Guru!!!
