Thread: CD Cartridge Stuck [1999 R129 SL]

The in-trunk 6 CD player/changer in my 1999 SL 500 is stuck and the carterage will not eject when I press the eject button on the unit. The screen on the radio reads "no cd" when I try to access the CD player. Is there another way to get the carterage out short of taking the whole unit out of the trunk and disassembling it? HELP!

This is quite common, and sadly you do have to take the CDC out and diassemble

Thanks for your response to my stuck CD carterage, iI will make it a winter project.

I am not sure if I ever thanked you for your termedious help in getting a backup camera installed on our 2009 E350 wagon. All we had to buy was a camera after your help with programing on the Command. We were able to find a camera which included the parking grid overlay and excellent quality picture for $100 US dollars -- thank you so very much again!
