    Default No UHI/MHI [2008 CLK W209]

Folks, I have a 2008 CLK convertible without a UHI/MHI connector. So, I am interested in buying Viseeo bluetooth system but nothing to connect it to. What do I do?

[EDIT to correct the links, after BenzModz post below] as I read original as W208 not 2008]

See this MOST UHI retrofit kit. With it you put the connector in the main glovebox and plug the Viseeo MB-2 into it (as you don't need regular access)

Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes Phone/Bluetooth :: Phone System Retrofit Kits :: Phone retrofit kit for MOST based cars

Then you get the phonebook etc up on your COMAND/Audio-20 screen and get to use the steering wheel controls, instrument cluster display etc (once configured)

There are other alternative products not made of Mercedes parts, such as this, which gives you bluetooth phone and iPod (no need for an additional Viseeo)

mCar MOST Phone / iPod interface

    Cheers

Since the car is MOST (after 2005) you can have the factory system installed.

    There are two pathways.

    - Short kit (fits under dashboard)
    - Full factory kit (invasive and goes into rear of car).

As far as I know it comes down to cost and appearances. If you want a 100% factory look then you will want the factory kit since it has the factory mirror and you can't tell it was ever done.

The short kit has a non-factory microphone.
