If you dont buy a NTG 2.5 for W211 you will just end up with a headache and very old technology.

NTG 2.5 = Bluetooth, MP3, HDD, easily installed, voice control, nice display.

NTG1 = needs map drive, needs DVD map, needs phone kit, needs voice control modules, needs AGW, needs special wiring to rear of car.

If it just going to cost you more no matter what you do, if you install the older system.

I just realised that you are driving a 2002 model car. What richard told you is correct. The information I said is only for late 2003 and after.

In 2002 they did something that is totally different to later on.

So a NTG 2.5 will fit my car then, will i need other parts for the job or does it just plug & play? I'd ideally like someone competent who can install (and perhaps supply) it for me. Thanks for your advice.

While your car is 2002 and older technology, the phone kit and voice control makes up for the inconvenience.
