Default No DVD Eject Function Comand NTG2 (CLK W209

    Like it was posted here
I repost it also over here in case someone can help

Recently i installed a comand ntg2 unit in my clk w209
unit was wroking properly for some days and with it i received a 9.1 version dvd of the maps, when i inserted v12 update lasted for 4-5 seconds and units started acting weird, i had no sats on the gps etc.

So withing engineering menu, i reseted everything, deleted gaus etc. and suddenly when it starts now for example in radio, it fades for a sec and says "please insert navigation dvd" and whenever i press the eject button i get the message "Function is not available"

So i am stuck with an audio cd inside (which sounds perfect and works) and i cant load the updated navigation dvd

Any thoughts? I thought that the star could let me load the maps but it says only with the maps loaded in the comand and there is no actuation related on ejecting the dvd!

Sounds like you got skin oil on the rollers. It usually sticks to the CD from the fingers and then smears on the rollers.

Get a wooden skewer or slim stick and press down on the CD so that it grips the eject rollers.

No luck, there is no sound from the mechanism trying to eject the dvd, as soon as i press the eject button i get the message that "Function is currently not available"
And this happened after i reseted the comand or deleted a file... dont remember exactly what so i guess it is 99,99% a software issue!

I did try reupdating the agw firmware but star wont give any option for this, it just says its already up to date!

So is the disassembly and getting the audio cd out my only option for getting the navi dvd in and updating the unit? (and hopefully getting this issue fixed)

I think its unrelated. Just happens at the same time while you are inserting and removing DVD's

Comand was dissasembled, i took the cd that was stuck inside (but was still being normally read) and after that i installed it, i powered it on and i heard the drive moving and then displayed "CD0 Error" but uppon ejecting i am getting the same message! (Function currently not available"
The thing is that even when i am inserting a dvd v9 update it wont get it in, so is there any other way to update the unit? a serial port? even chip programming in case i even have to do solder/desolder!

I am 100% that this was caused by a reset or a delete of files from engineering menu, cause it stopped working after some go through from that menu!

There is a 'Service Format CD', which of course it may not read if it has forgotten about its DVD drive - but it is for sorting out the flash ..
