Default Analog TV upgrade to digital TV on comand 2 DX?

    Hello,
I have a Mercedes SL 2003, with the original comand 2.0 DX, with analog TV tuner and phone connected with wire.
I am based in France and we do not have analog TV channels anymore, but only digital TV now. So, the TV does not work anymore on my comand.

Is there a solution to replace it by a digital TV tuner? Or do I have to put a new AV input system and how to do it?

    Thank you for your feedback.

    Regards,

The TV tuner has 2 AUX inputs on it.

The only solution is to connect a DVB-T (digital TV) tuner to it, and then use an IR remote control to operate it. You then select TV AUX-1 on the TV on the COMAND.

Of course you will need an IR extended to get the IR pickup in a sensible place. 12Volt DVB-T tuners (for caravans & motor homes) are available.

The TV tuner is to the left side of the rear stowage box behind left seat - you have to take of some of the panelling to access it - see Mercedes Electronics upgrades, installation and retrofits
