Thread: upgrade audio 20 to comand NTG4

Hello everybody,
I own a GLK 2010 with audio 20, and i just bought an used comand ntg4 on ebay.
My question is:
Is it plug and play or i have to buy another cable( i've seen one called cable retrofit display!!)
a friend of mine did it in a C but from 2008 so maybe the connectic has changed ...

There are several areas of cocern.

a) Wiring for Video (new cable)

b) Ventilation for cooling the COMAND (tubes and fan)

c) Power for the system (additional cable)

d) Control buttons for LCD angle

e) Air vent with holes for (d)


I think everyone is moving across to the new 2011 COMAND.

Thanks for helping but i don't understand why i need a power for the system, it should be one already in the audio 20?!?

Because the fan system needs power.

You will also need wiring and a new trim strip and the power-module to make the rear view camera work.

PS, do not skip installing the fan system. I have seen destroyed COMAND systems (cooked)
